Our multi-class discount

Total Arts! has a multi-class discount per family which is automatically applied after the first registration. This acts as a sibling discount or can be for a single child taking more than one class per session or taking classes in consecutive sessions.

Additional space for non-participating children
The Total Arts! homeschool classes will take place in the main teaching area in our back room leaving our front room open for family members to gather if they choose to stay onsite.
There is space to play quietly, read, work on assignments, or just hang out during class.
Class Descriptions:
Creative Arts Sampler:
The Creative Arts Sampler class explores a variety of creative areas including stories, art, music, movement, and creative writing. Each session may focus on a different creative area but will incorporate other modalities in this interdisciplinary exploration of creative arts.
For larger groups with a full range of ages/grade levels we can potentially split the class into two groups
Acting For YoungStars 2.0:
The Acting for YoungStars 2.0 class is full of theatre games, improv, and scene creation activities that help students shine on stage while building confidence & teamwork, and developing speaking & presentation skills. This expanded version of the original Acting For YoungStars program includes set design elements and additional opportunities for exploring scene creation & production skills.
- The optional Improv Add-On allows for additional experience with improv, collaboration, and creative exploration.
- There will be an end-of-session showcase filled with short scenes, group numbers, and a demonstration of individual talents!
NOTE: Students who are still learning to read will need help at home to learn their lines in order to be ready for class and feel confident for the showcase.
*The scene book is required and is a one-time purchase good for multiple sessions of the class.
Teen Art Class:
The Teen Art Class will explore the elements of art and principles of design as students work with a variety of materials and explore art techniques.
Students will have projects that they work on in class each week. In addition, high school students in particular will be encouraged to work on an Independent Art Project, completing a long-term assignment over the course of the session. Some of the work for this project will be done at home with regular input from the instructor.
NOTE for High School Students:
Talk to us if you would like a course description, grades assigned, or an evaluation for this class for a high school transcript or college application. At least 2 sessions would need to be completed in order to earn credit. They do not need to be consecutive sessions.
Private or Semi-Private Art & Dance Lessons:
This is an excellent opportunity for the visual art or dance student who wishes to focus on a specific area of interest or try something new.
- Lessons will be scheduled with Heather at a mutually convenient time and can be for a single student or up to 3 students in a small group.
- Visual art: drawing, painting, digital art, art portfolio (see below)
- Dance: ballet, jazz, improv, modern, contemporary, musical theater
Art Portfolio Development:
Dance Sampler:
The Dance Sampler classes explore a variety of dance styles throughout the session including ballet, jazz, improv, modern, contemporary, and musical theater.
This is perfect for the student who wants to get introduced to dance in a casual setting without the pressure of performances or recitals. There will be an optional end-of-session showcase demonstration.
Designed specifically for the high school visual artist who has plans to pursue art in college. Heather will help you navigate the requirements, help you choose and create pieces for your portfolio, and solidify your portfolio submission for college applications.
- Lessons will be scheduled with Heather at a mutually convenient time and can include consultations and time spent working on art projects.

A note from co-founder, Michele MacBeath:
Our family homeschooled our 3 children for 13 years, taking one all the way through high school, and I am thrilled that Total Arts! can assist families in their homeschool journey, particularly in the creative arts.
Both Amy and I support homeschooling families in their desire to provide the best possible educational experiences for their children. We understand that homeschool families can vary greatly in terms of their educational philosophies & expectations, and in their styles of teaching. We are happy to work with your group to see if Total Arts! can help you reach educational goals within your chosen framework.
At Total Arts, it's all about the process!

Total Arts! has two spaces for group use.
The larger back room can be set up with tables & chairs (provided by Total Arts), or left empty.
The smaller front space can be used for smaller group activities, set up as an extra learning space, or function as a "hang-out" area for non-participating siblings and/or parents.
There are 2 direct-access single use restrooms in the larger room, one has a changing table.
We are fully wheelchair accessible.
