Age range depends, in part, of the style of dance but generally age 5 & up for ballet, jazz, & musical theater and age 8 & up for improv, modern, & contemporary. In addition, high school students in particular will be encouraged to work on an Independent Art Project, completing a long-term assignment over the course of the session. Some of the work for this project will be done at home with regular input from the instructor. Suitable for ages 12 & up. A note from co-founder, Michele MacBeath:

Our family homeschooled our 3 children for 13 years, taking one all the way through high school, and I am thrilled that Total Arts! can assist families in their homeschool journey, particularly in the creative arts.

Both Amy and I support homeschooling families in their desire to provide the best possible educational experiences for their children. We understand that families can vary greatly in terms of their educational philosophies & expectations, and in their styles of teaching. We are happy to work with your group to see if Total Arts! can help you reach educational goals within your chosen framework.

At Total Arts, it's all about the process!

Available Spaces
Studio A: Main space plus waiting area

Our main studio space (Studio A) consists of two areas - a large open space and a front room.

The larger back area can be set up with tables & chairs or left open. We can accommodate up to 24 students in this area for most classes. Dance classes are a 15-18 person maximum.

The smaller front area can be used as a waiting room or set up as an additional learning area.

Studio A has two single use restrooms in the back space, one with a changing table and one that is wheelchair accessible.

Studios B & C: Additional classrooms

Studios B & C are across the front foyer area of the building just a few steps away from Studio A. They are connected to each other but are best used as independent spaces as they are set up differently from each other. Studio C in particular is set up for groups of older students and adults.

Spaces B & C can accommodate 8-10 students each.

There is a sink in this space but there is no direct restroom access from Studio B or C. Students would have to use the building's public restrooms located just down the hall, or the ones located in Studio A.
