Mixed Media Collage

Service Description

Mixed media collage is an all levels class exploring how to use painted materials in new ways to create abstract artworks. Students will paint their own collage papers using provided materials such as acrylic paint, watercolor paint, pencil, ink, and charcoal. The painted papers will then be cut/ripped into smaller sections and re-assembled into a different form. Students will learn basic color theory and composition techniques as well as how to apply adhesive to create finished fine art collage pieces on paper. Each student will leave class with 3, 8x10” mixed media collages, matted and ready to gift or pop into a standard frame for display. Led by local artist, Jocelyn Elizabeth
